Who should take this
course?
This course is only open to students
who have completed Latin Level III.
How is the course taught? What
will we be studying?
Two A. P. syllabi are taught in
alternating sequence over the course of two years. Each year of A.P.
Latin stands alone and entitles the student to sit for a Latin A.P.
Exam.
What will be expected of
me?
Extensive translation from Latin to
English.
Essays (written in English) are assigned.
What are the completion
requirements?
Translation notebooks are kept
throughout the term and collected periodically for review. Essays in
English are assigned. Midterm and final exams are given. Extensive
review of the Advanced Placement Exam format in April. Class
participation is essential.
Are there any special demands,
costs, etc?
The A. P. Exam is optional. There is a fee for the A.P. Exam.
