Advanced Placement Spanish Language FS7X and FS8X

Who should take this course?
This course is designed for students who have completed 3 years of Spanish and have become proficient in the basics of the language and who now wish to make their proficiency a life long skill. Students will be prepared with the necessary skills and literary background for the Advanced Placement Spanish Language Exam. By enrolling in FS7X in the fall you will automatically be programmed for FS8X in the spring

What will we be studying?
Every month a new theme/subject will be introduced and engaged. Students first will be required to complete a preliminary review of the new theme/subject matter; afterwards, the theme/subject matter will be further reviewed and expounded in class. Students will be required to take careful notes, identifying areas of weakness which will be addressed, and as necessary further reviewed and examined in class.

How is the course taught?
The objective of this course is to see students achieve universal and integrated Spanish comprehension, marked by specific improvement in skills of reading, understanding, writing, and speaking Spanish. Through stimulating readings, group study, class discussions, written composition, grammatical analysis, and even audio and video media, the class will achieve this objective. Short stories, news articles, and other material will be examined which will include familiar vocabulary as well as new vocabulary.
