Who should take this course?
Seniors with a very strong background in mathematics, physics, and/or chemistry.
What will we be studying?
Principles that explain and interpret observations of the physical and chemical properties of matter, such as thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, statistical thermodynamics, and advanced structure-analysis techniques like spectroscopy and x-ray diffractions.
What will be expected of me?
This is a very demanding above-calculus level college course. Homework assignments are long.
How is the course taught?
The course will be taught by a method combining lectures, recitations, and problem solving sessions.
What are the completion requirements?
The grade in the course will be determined by grades on class examinations and the final exam.
Are there any special demands, costs, etc?
There may be some moderate costs associated with this course.

Prerequisites: AB Calculus or BC Calculus and AP Physics and/or AP Chemistry. Co-requisites: Multivariate Calculus, Linear Algebra, or Differential Equations.
