Research Physics SP1XR

Who should take this course?
Enthusiastic, strong math- science students

What will we be studying?
A. P. Physics level B, in addition to the Regents syllabus.

What will be expected of me?
Approximately 40 minutes of homework is given each night. There will be special research projects like bridge building.

How is the course taught?
Class discussion, demonstrations, student labs

What are the completion requirements?
Generally one special project each marking period plus the underlying A. P. Physics B syllabus.

Are there any special demands, costs, etc.?
There may be some moderate costs associated with this course.

Details and pre/co-requisites:
This course replaces SP1 and SP2. Students must commit themselves to completing the entire year and take the Advanced Placement exam. (There are no exceptions.)

Co-requisite: Precalculus
Restrictions: Students must have a minimum average of 95% in both Chemistry and Mathematics.
