What is American Women's Histories?
This social history course will explore how American women are agents of their own history and products of a larger history. Because women are by no means a monolithic group throughout American history, students will explore the range of American women's experiences and histories.
Who should take this one semester elective?
Any sophomore, junior or senior who is interested in devoting more scholarship to women's experiences in American history is the perfect student for this course.

What will be expected of me?
This course will be taught in a 'seminar' style, with supplementary readings, discussions, videos, guest visitors and field trips. Meaningful participation in daily class discussions will be key.
