Advanced Computer Aided Design TDPPD15

 

Who should take this course?
Students who are interested in advancing their creative and technical skills using computer aided design software. Students interested in engineering, commercial and industrial design and computer science.

What will we be studying?
How to manipulate the CAD software in order to produce 3 dimensional transformations, wire frame modeling, revolutions of solids, isometric improbabilities, exploded isometrics, CAMS, gears, sectional and architectural designs.

What will be expected of me?
The development of a deeper understanding of the use of computers in the design and engineering process.

How is the course taught?
Through lectures and computer demonstrations utilizing state of the art computers and educational technology (e.g., the overhead projection in T. V. in room 1009).

What are the completion requirements?
Successful completion of all projects
Demonstration of proficiency on all computer examinations
Maintenance of a notebook
Completion of a final project

Are there any special demands, costs, etc?
Materials replacement fee.

Details and pre/co-requisites:
TD1 is a prerequisite.
