Who should take this course?
Any student who has an interest in architecture or who is interested in pursuing a career in Architecture, Urban Planning, Architectural Engineering or Engineering.

What will we be studying?
Topics covered will include:
1. How to design structures related to specific functions;
2. Preperformance Programming; establishing the criteria for the entire design process.
3. Group design dynamics; participation in the design process through the concept of design teams.

What will be expected of me?
To become proficient in expressing design concepts in graphical and model form, construct models and design a home.

How is the course taught?
Through the medium of lectures, guest speakers, video and slide presentations, and tours of architectural sites and offices.

What are the completion requirements?

1. Construct a model
2. Design a home
3. Write a critique of a work of architecture
4. Expression of graphical medium to an acceptable standard

Are there any special demands, costs, etc?
Basic drawing equipment used in TD1

Details and pre/co-requisites:
TD1 is a prerequisite. This course is offered during both fall and spring semesters. This course may be taken as a senior elective.
