Who should take this course?
Those students interested in video technology, the theatre, stage and video technology, commercial art and advertising. This course will fulfill the 5 period technology requirement for graduation. This course can also be taken as an unprepared elective.

What will we be studying?
Theory and hands on application of video and production.

What will be expected of me?
Students will be expected to learn:
1. To paint backdrops, build models and stage sets;
2. The different parts and use of the stage;
3. Lighting techniques for Video and Stage;
4. Video Tape Production, editing and post-production;
5. How to add music and voice overs to video.

How is the course taught?
Through theory and the use of stage and video equipment such as cameras, editing units, special effects units, audio units, and character generators. Students will also use the video/sound studio production facilities.

What are the completion requirements?
1. Storyboard
2. Video graphics
3. Model of a stage setting painted backdrop
4. A completed original commercial
5. One exam each marking period
6. A monthly log

Details and pre/co-requisites:
This course can be taken as either a 5 period Technology requirement or as an unprepared elective and is offered during both the fall and spring semesters.
