Who should take this
course?
Students interested in a
non-computer approach to technical illustration within the
disciplines of architecture, engineering and interior
design.
What will we be studying?
You will be studying sophisticated
sketching and rendering techniques as well as technical and
scientific illustration, interior design and architecture detailing.
Skills learned are transferable to other disciplines such as
commercial art, on or off computers.
What will be expected of
me?
You will be expected to produce
technical illustrations, detailed drawings, and models of projects,
design structures and maintain a notebook.
How is the course taught?
The course is taught as a small
group format with lessons then several work periods.
What are the completion
requirements?
You have to complete all assigned
projects utilizing conventional documentation techniques. You will
also have to present and defend your designs within a critique
setting.
Are there any special demands,
costs, etc.?
You may be asked to purchase several
specialized plastic templates and have all the standard equipment
used for technical drawing.
