Re: Preliminary Programming
Instructions
Please read all of the following information carefully in preparation
for Selective and Elective Course selection.
- Course requests for the term will be submitted online at
register.stuy.edu.
- To submit your requests you will have to logon with
your username and password.
If you have password problems click here
for help.
- Online you will find a list of all courses we anticipate
you will be taking during the coming term.
The online submission of applications
to all Advanced
Placement and Special Elective
courses requiring
departmental approval will take place in late March through early April (PHASE I).
Juniors
will also be selecting
their 10
period Technology
courses (or
alternates) for their Senior year during the same time as Advanced Placement Courses.
The online submission of requests for
all selective and elective courses (PHASE II)
will take place after
selections for Advanced Placement,
10 Period Technology and Special Courses
have been made, usually the end of April or early May.
It is YOUR responsibility to submit your
requests during this time.
- You will have UNLIMITED OPPORTUNITIES
TO SUBMIT and REVISE your programming preferences
during the registration period.
- Each time you submit a registration
form, the new responses will overwrite any previous submissions.
Therefore, if you wish to make only one change to your request file, you must resubmit all your other requests you are not changing. Remember: ONLY the last submitted request form will be
processed.
- You are strongly encouraged to submit your requests
early in the programming process. Should you encounter
any difficulties, this will allow time to have problems
resolved.
- When you log on to the online registration program, you
will be guided through the process by instructions at the site.
You will also have access to the Online Course
Guide.
- You are encouraged to submit your programming requests from
home. However, computers are available in school should you need
(or want) to use them. For a list of available computers, click on
this icon.
.
